Mirro 92122A Polished Aluminum Pressure Cooker, this is the canner you should get! in my opinion

A couple of days ago. I search for information on the Mirro 92122A Polished Aluminum Pressure Cooker Cookware, 22-Quart, Silver, so i would like to bring a story to tell.

After two months of searching for the perfect canner and stewing over the decision by size and type, I finally settled on the Mirro 22 qt. There were a couple of reasons I chose this model. First, there seems to be a lot of debate over the benefits of a pressure gauge vs. the weighted toggle. I've found that most people considered something unreliable gauge. more importantly, I live in a very rural area where I can't take the caliber for the County we tested each year as recommended. I wanted to can vegetables and tuna, so I wanted something reliable from year to year. Secondly, the tuna must be processed for 90 minutes and I didn't want to have to watch all the time a pressure gauge to monitor the pressure. I love being able to clean the kitchen, or run to the bathroom quickly with out the overwhelming fear that canner will explode without my eye always present. Thirdly, I wanted a canner that had some backup pressure ports. I read a few accounts of pressure cookers blowing up in people's faces, and would rather not mess with explosions in my house. This dish is all this and more!! I have fired a couple batches of peaches and apricots. I'm cold packed apricots and don't like the results, the result moved to the top. peaches hot lunch me and they came out the best they could have dreamed. during the end of razor clam season, we've collected several pounds of clams, and various canned. they came out great! Since then, we've also canned tuna. I must say, it's a bit noisy to can tuna, but our pots were cute and the tuna was fantastic. a lot of tuna had a problem.
