Review MaxiMatic EPC-807 Elite Platinum 8-Quart Digital Pressure, Tough Under Pressure

A couple of days ago. I search for information on the MaxiMatic EPC-807 Elite Platinum 8-Quart Digital Pressure Cooker with Non-Stick, so i have to tell.

This gives a cautious 4 star rating due to the short time owned. I have been using pressure cookers for decades, but this is the first electric model. the positives: nice style, removable aluminum inner container so it can be removed and washed, hinged lid, condensation Cup that collects the condensate found on lid when open, quiet due to no steam during cooking, the negative points: economic/glossy label, this keyboard will probably at some point. rubber feet are just that, natural rubber and they will mar the surface counter melamine. they used 3 times and it worked fine. first use was for the meat and vegetable soup. great deal, ~ 6 qts. chose this because of the complex mix of ingredients. 2 stages made soup. started with chunked meat cooking in tomato juice with "meat" setting. PREP'd vegetables (7-8) while cooked meat. did fast steam vent. add vegetables and some extra water. set to "soups/stews". When cooked, pre-programmed, used still fast steam vent. tender meat, potatoes and carrots and cook fully cooked quick vegetables still had the body, soft not. very satisfied with results. Last use was with a recipe off the net for pressure cookers. no difficulty using a generic recipe with this stove. Edit: Passed 3 years since we bought. pressure cooker is still going strong and gets used regularly. wife enjoys a great deal.
